Juan D\u2019Arienzo <\/span><\/b>(1900 \u2013 1976),<\/span><\/h2>\n

Auch genannt \u201eEl Rey del Compas\u201c \u2013 der K\u00f6nig des Taktes, ist einer der bedeutendsten Bandleader des Tangos. Er ist untrennbar verbunden mit der \u201eD\u00e9cada del Cuarenta\u201c (1940er Jahre), dem goldenen Jahrzehnt der Tangomusik. Unter Tangoliebhabern ist er eine umstrittene und stark polarisierende Pers\u00f6nlichkeit. Bis heute wird er sowohl geliebt und verehrt als auch gehasst und bel\u00e4chelt.<\/p>\n

In den drei\u00dfiger Jahren war der Tango durch eine starke Betonung des Gesangs gekennzeichnet, der Tanz war eher in den Hintergrund getreten. Durch seine R\u00fcckbesinnung auf den Zwei-Viertel-Takt befreite D\u2019Arienzo den Tango von der dadurch entstandenen Protzigkeit und nahm ihm die Konzentration auf die Gesangsstimme. Bei ihm durfte der S\u00e4nger nicht mehr der Star sein, sondern wurde zu einem weiteren Instrument innerhalb des Orchesters. Vielleicht hat er da manchmal \u00fcbertrieben, er schreckte nicht davor zur\u00fcck, v\u00f6llig banale Texte singen zu lassen, die sich dem vom Orchester gespielten Rhythmus unterzuordnen hatten. D\u2019Arienzo muss als Orchesterchef ziemlich despotisch gewesen sein, er erzwang geradezu, dass alles unbedingt dem Rhythmus folgte (s. auch die youtube-Links unten). Aber dadurch wirkte sein Spiel auch ernorm frisch und lebendig. D\u2019Arienzo gab den Tango an die T\u00e4nzer zur\u00fcck und begeisterte die Jugend. \u201eEl Rey del Compas\u201c wurde zum K\u00f6nig des Tanzes, und indem er Leute zum Tanz brachte, konnte er eine Menge Geld verdienen. Sp\u00e4ter, um 1960, versuchte er eine weitere Erneuerung der Stilmittel des klassischen Tangos. Er bildete mit Anibal Troilo (Bandoneon), Francisco Canaro (Violine), Osvaldo Pugliese (Piano) und Osvaldo Fresedo (Bandoneon) das \u201eQuinteto de Oro\u201c.<\/p>\n
